I facilitated Civic AI Acceleration Program for CSO and Non Profit Organization

I had the opportunity to facilitate a session on "Civic Innovation and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Scaling Social Impact" during the inaugural Civic AI Acceleration Program organized by iLEAD AFRICA in partnership with the Phambano Technology Development Centre, South Africa, for civil society and nonprofit leaders in Abuja.
The strategic presentation examined how Artificial Intelligence #AI can help civil society organizations address some of their most pressing challenges, including shrinking civic space, funding constraints, low citizen engagement, episodic project cycles, and data privacy concerns.

Key insights from the session:

• Civic innovation is essential for sustainable national development.
• AI enhances productivity and evidence-based decision-making
• Responsible and ethical AI adoption is critical.
• Human oversight remains central to AI deployment and governance.
• Collaboration and digital capacity are necessary to scale social impact.
I appreciate the management of the iLEAD AFRICA, the entire team, and participating CSO leaders for creating this valuable platform for learning and collaboration.

As the development sector continues to evolve, building AI capacity within civil society organizations is no longer optional. It is essential for increasing efficiency, strengthening impact, and driving sustainable change.
