 2022 O.S.U NHQT  SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM

THE 2022 OFFA STUDENT'S UNION NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS ANNUAL SUMMER SCHOOL ENDED WITH ANOTHER MEDAL ON MY SHELF WITH CERTIFICATES OF EXCELLENCE AS THE GENERAL SECRETARY.

THIS HAS BECOME A LIFE MEMORY.

As a volunteer who always strives to contribute and partake in community development programs in all areas of life, I found myself, I return all glory to Almighty Allah for making this yet another journey of Seven weeks (7) a fruitful, memorable, educative, interesting, and fantastically amazing experience. The Program spans from 1st August and September 17th, 2022.


The Offa Student's Union Summer School is a Program annually organize during the long vacation holidays which was a brainchild of the union, designed specifically to recruit and prepare students of both primary and secondary Schools within Offa and her environs; morally, academically, and economically and socially ahead of the next academic session and to further build their potentials by preparing them with requisite skills to confront future challenges and personal development.


As the General Secretary of the 2022 Summer School Program tagged "REBRANDING THE LEGACY", this year's summer program featured intensive  academic activities in line with the government-approved scheme of work, and a lot of programs were initiated and executed successfully, which rank our administration  better and productive, the program includes;

A) Digital Literacy 

B) Vocational training 

C)Tahfisul-Quran and Bible studies 

D) Quiz, debate, and spelling bee competition

E) Drone piloting and Robotics (AI) 

F) Inter-house Sports competitions including (Football, Athletics, Scrabble, and Ludo)

G) Sensitization on topical issues including (gender equality and  drug abuse) and

H) Career guidance 


Meanwhile, we ensure no summer school students leave without the skill to make an impact in society and to prepare them ahead of societal challenges. 

Sincerely, I salute the doggedness and enthusiasm of the OSU executives led by Comr. Ibrahim Sheikh Ibrahim Dundu for the opportunity given to us to serve in this capacity. 


However, I acknowledge the courage, stalwart, and administrative intrepidity of the Principal Comr. Sheu Abdulmumin Opeyemi and the Financial Secretary Comr. Yusuf Abdulmujeeb Eyitayo gave the summer school administration a pleasant and enduring face. 


Significantly, it's imperative to commend the entire summer school Staff for the historical and sacrificial role played that rushed the success of this program.

 

It was indeed teamwork.
